Submissions

The Thomas Jefferson Law Review welcomes the submission of unsolicited articles concerning any and all aspects of civil and criminal law or procedure. Book Reviews are also sought. Manuscripts should be submitted to:

Requirements:

1. Form

Manuscripts must be typed and should be double-spaced. Margins of one inch should be provided on all sides of typed pages. Footnotes rather than endnotes should be submitted in the same document. Computer disks should be available upon request. For electronic submissions, we accept all file formats, including Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, and PDF.

 

2. Citations

Textual and citation form should comply with that prescribed for law reviews in A Uniform System of Citation (18th ed. 2005). Case names in text should be in italics, while case citations in footnotes should not be underlined.

 

3. Timeliness

The TJLR prefers articles that are timely as well as original. Citations should be as current as possible at the time of submission.

 

4. Cover Letter

Included with the manuscript should be a cover letter containing the author's full name, address and telephone number, academic degrees and the name of the awarding institution(s), and any professional affiliations of the author. The cover letter should also contain a brief synopsis of the article.
